Via Fauché Market

Merely a 10 minute walk from my apartment and voilà: I arrive at the most eminent open-air market in Milan, Via Fauché. It takes place every Tuesday and Saturday, but Saturday is the biggest day for the vendors. After you overcome the initial stupefaction of the many resplendent sites, you can then make your way to a table overflowing with under-priced, shoes and clothes of Italy's most celebrated designers. Dolce & Gabbana,  Miu Miu, Valentino, Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Moschino, Enrico Coveri, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gianfranco Ferré, Alberta Ferretti, Prada; the list of designers goes on and on!

I'm not going to sit here and acknowledge the obvious but then again, why not? Just in case you haven't had your coffee this morning ...I don't mind articulating the significance of this magnificent happening.

ATTENTION: ALL OF YOU DIE HARD FASHIONISTAS OUT THERE ON A BUDGET ... if ever in Milan, make it a point to make your way to this market. You won't be disappointed. A pair of shoes that may have once had a hefty price tag of $600.00+ is now more or less, 1/10 of the price. Yes, yes.. you do the math!

The market does not only cater to those seeking aw-inspiring fashion trends, but also to those who simply want the freshest fruits, vegetables, fish, meats, cheeses, jewelry, perfumes, designer make up, ornate tapestries... & I'm certain that I am forgetting something. Essentially, anything you could ever want, can be found at this market!
