Pink & Chic Newsletter: "A Summer of COLOR"

The frequent enjoyable weather during summer unquestionably enhances everyone’s mood.  While color is often a reflection of our self expression, it also indirectly conveys our emotions.  Bright colors are also scientifically proven to boost your mood; so if you are feeling particularly distressed one day, why not try to improve your mindset by embracing a bit of color?

A London in Paris red long-sleeve dress will certainly cure your blues; shades of red causes your body to pump adrenaline, which thus increases your energy level and improves your overall mood.

Also in red, a Gulhan Ozer romper with a colorful floral print will add liveliness to your wardrobe.

A layered, light sweater with a paisley print by Melys has the perfect balance of color.

A light blue suede jacket by Vladimiro Gioia will put your mind at ease.  Light blue, the color of the sea and sky, is a very soothing hue. A touch of light blue is a great way to de-stress yourself from your every-day, hectic life.

A halter dress by Laura Mancini in bright blue, will have quite a stimulating effect and simultaneously calm your mind.

Sunglasses in coral by Al e Ro can keep your mind energized while also assisting you in staying motivated.

Coin 50th anniversary & Werelse

This past Thursday, Coin department store celebrated their 50th year anniversary of the flagship store in Milan.  I have to say as entertaining as it was to observe the woman in body paint, all of the numerous animated outfits, and various collections; I was the most excited to see the launching of Werelse for Mango Touch.  The capsule collection is a result of a collaborative effort between Chiara Ferragni, Andy Torres, and Carolina Engman (three of the most renowned fashion bloggers in the world).

I absolutely love the concept of this line. It is comprised of three different collections; The Neon, The Buckle, and The Silver. With my most recent new found love for extremely bright colors, The Neon collection speaks to me the most! All three collections convey a very polished and modern look. In addition to being wonderfully chic, the price point of the brand is quite affordable ranging from $19.99 - $109.99.

Check it out – you won’t be disappointed! http://www.werelse.com

I was also very excited to have had the pleasure to meet Chiara Ferragni at the event. I can vividly remember stumbling upon her Flickr account years ago and being so inspired by her beautiful photography and impeccable style. Today, she is one of the most celebrated Fashion bloggers of our time.  It was such an honor and I can happily say she is equally as lovely and charming in person!

Insta'faves: 1.

I absolutely love the easy accessibility of Instagram. For my personal use, this iPhone app

acts as a miniature - sized SLR with versatile 'instant' modification techniques always at

hand. This is tremendously convenient considering my real SLR camera is 5x the size of my

iPhone, which often is a hindrance in regard to its portability. [Photographyis such an

enormous passion of mine that grows more with each day as I am constantly exposed to so

many wondrous surroundings.

Self expression is imperative to me and without my outlet through photography, I

honestly think I would be an entirely different person. For a new segment, I really want to

include a compilation of photos such as this from time to time. (Granted, not all of these

photos were taken with my iPhone... some were in fact taken with my digital rebel and only edited through instagram) Regardless, I hope you enjoy them!

Casual Mountain Ride

It only seems right to give these photos an entry of their own. During my weekend in Genova, I was evidently feeling a bit more adventurous than usual. I spontaneously decided it was a good idea to go up a mountain, with very little guardrails, in the freezing wind, on a suzuki bike. The view was pretty spectacular though, so it was well worth the risk. Enjoy! ;)

& a Buona Pasqua [Happy Easter] it was...

I was so very fortunate to have spent this past Easter with my family in a part of Genova called, Punta Chiappa. It was absolutely a perfect day in every way.

The weather overcame the rain and I was with my entire Italian family in arguably, the most beautiful place in all of Italy. I feel so blessed to have had so many opportunities to travel. It is undoubtedly a tremendous luxury and I have to give a BIG thank you to my mom for always supporting me and encouraging me to travel (even at a very young age).

I truthfully wish every person had the contingency to travel where ever their heart desires because it is such an eye-opening, stimulating experience. I wouldn't trade my traveling experiences for anything. I hope everyone feels as blessed as I do and enjoyed their Easter accompanied by people they love!
